Differ from tricone bit, PDC drill bit runs with lower WOB but Higher RPM, so it usually works with downhole motor to pick up rotating speed.

CHALLENGES
In order to reduce the cost of imported PDC Bit from Smith and Halliburton, Chinese manufacture offer their own designed PDC Bit for well drilling to replace Smith Bits.
SOLUTION
In order to achieve better ROP, DeepFast offer its own designed Steel Body PDC Bit 12 1/4″ DFS1905U to obtain higher ROP.

Overview
In the Sichuan of China the formation is medium-hard but abrasive, Chuanqing West Drilling Company would like to improve drilling speed and it specially carry out PDC tests in SI005-X5 and $I005-X6 wells starting drilling from about 500 meters for 12 1/4 hole.
